Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the SwapToys mobile app and website (the “Service”), operated by SwapToys Pty Ltd (“SwapToys”, “we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. About SwapToys

SwapToys is a free, community-run platform for Australian families to swap pre-loved toys. No money changes hands on the platform. All swaps are arranged directly between users.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Australia to use SwapToys.

3. Listings

• Listings must be for physical toys that you own and are willing to swap.
• Toys must be safe, clean, and fit for use by children.
• No counterfeit, hazardous, recalled, or illegal items.
• One listing per toy — duplicates will be removed.

4. Swaps

SwapToys facilitates introductions only. We are not a party to any swap agreement and accept no liability for items exchanged. Meet in safe, public locations. We recommend libraries, community centres, or shopping centres.

5. Community standards

Be respectful. No harassment, discrimination, or abuse. Users who violate community standards may be suspended or permanently banned.

6. Safety

You are responsible for checking that toys are age-appropriate and safe before allowing children to use them. SwapToys accepts no liability for injuries or damage arising from swapped toys.

7. Intellectual property

By uploading a photo you grant SwapToys a non-exclusive licence to display it within the app. You retain ownership of your photos.

8. Termination

We may suspend or delete accounts that breach these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by emailing hello@swaptoys.com.au.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be communicated in the app.
